Due to the current Healthy & Safety guidelines, we cannot currently provide a pre-treatment waiting area for The Lagoon.
On arrival at Southsea Bathing Hut, you will be greeted by our friendly team. You will be provided with hand sanitiser and we will check your temperature using a digital, contactless thermometer.
You will then be guided through to The Lagoon Treatment Room. If it is your first time at The Lagoon you’ll be asked to complete a pre-treatment client questionnaire online when you book your appointment. So there will be no paperwork to complete during your actual treatment visit.
Our skilled therapist will ask some questions to establish your needs. This will help to identify any areas of your skin which may require more focus during your treatment. They will further tailor your treatment by selecting products to suit your needs.
Your therapist will give you time to undress privately and lie down on our massage table, where you may cover yourself with towels. As this is a facial treatment, your body will not be exposed at any point during your treatment.
Avoid eating a heavy meal or drinking alcohol prior to the treatment.
Please ensure you arrive wearing your mask or face covering, as this is mandatory in all enclosed spaces from 24th July. As this is a facial treatment, you will need to remove your mask for the treatment itself. Our therapist will wear a mask and visor throughout your visit.
Please only bring essential belongings and leave valuables at home.
Post-treatment balance payments can only be made by Visa/Debit/Credit Card or Southsea Bathing Hut Gift Card.
This treatment involves oils being massaged directly into the neck, scalp and/or hairline. We, therefore, recommend bringing a hairbrush and hair tie (as necessary) for use after your treatment. We have mirrors hanging in The Lagoon for your convenience.
The 30 minute treatment time is the actual time our Natural Skincare & Wellbeing Therapist will be performing your treatment.
Please allow an additional 5 minutes following your treatment to dress and receive any after-care advice.
The natural and organic skincare products and techniques used in this treatment have been formulated to suit most skin types, including sensitive and blemish-prone skin.
If you are currently experiencing regular significant breakouts, such as whiteheads, blackheads or cystic acne, we recommend seeking the services of a dermatologist in the first instance as an extraction-based medical-grade facial may be most helpful for you. Due to the hyper-sensitivity and inflammation caused during an acne breakout, the pure essential oils and plant extracts used in our products may cause mild irritation. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more advice and we can always point you in the right direction to get the help you need.
Due to the current guidelines surrounding the Beauty & Wellness Industry, we cannot provide treatments for people who are identified as clinically extremely vulnerable or anyone clinically vulnerable.
This includes anyone over the age of 70, pregnant women or anyone who usually needs a flu jab for underlying medical conditions. Please refer to www.gov.uk for further information or click here.
If you have a serious medical condition you need to provide Southsea Bathing Hut with a letter from your doctor or practitioner confirming that the treatment is suitable for you.
The following Terms and Conditions have been implemented with your convenience and satisfaction in mind.
- Arriving late may eat into treatment time.
- In accordance with government guidance, we respectfully request that you arrive to your appointment wearing a face mask or covering. This is mandatory for all shops. The government have confirmed that face coverings do not need to be worn by clients during their facial treatment. Your therapist will wear a mask and visor throughout your treatment. You may also be interested to know that we fully ventilate The Lagoon Treatment Room between clients, by using an industrial Air Mover.
If you are feeling unwell or are required to self-isolate, please notify us as soon as possible on 023 9229 3322 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will promptly release your appointment slot for public booking. Rescheduled appointments which need to be cancelled or changed beyond this 30 day period, due to serious illness or force majeure, will be rebooked at discretion of the SBH management for a date within 1 calendar year from the original booking. Otherwise, all deposits are lost
